As a lover of DC and voyeur of political culture, this week is a visual feeding frenzy for me. The city has been very cold and very quiet these last few nights, but if you look carefully, there are people scurrying around hotels, monuments and city blocks, getting things ready. The number of port-o-potties alone is astounding. The volume of merchandise alone is worth shooting, the patriotic themed ribbons and decor line windows and stairways and there's even a White House cake!
I also found the banners in Union Station worth taking a second look at.
