Mixing and making colors brings happiness, its that simple. I'm amazed that so many colors exist to begin with and actually making them creates a deeper awe for the vibrancy of the natural world around us. I find that painting is a form of prayer for me and these are my ''notes'' to God.

In recent months I have tried to focus less on making sense of my work or making it have a purpose and just continuing to paint. I also find so much of the art world so inaccessible and I love creating work that folks can actually pick up and touch. Sometimes it depends on the music I'm listening to, or the movie that is on in the background, but each of these sprang directly from feelings. No political message, no commentary, no major statement, just color from the gut.

I also need a way better digital camera, sorry for the poor picture quality, these shots don't capture the shimmer of the paper in some cases and vibrancy (or subtlety) of the paint.
