A love of 80's and Pollack inspired splatter paint and cheesy easy-to-use stencils collide this year with a simple, somewhat patriotic, Christmas theme. I love using variations of the traditional green and red for Christmas, and wanted a lot of energy in this years card, considering what we've been through as a country and even in my own life.
Christmas is always so solemn but to me God's grace can look a mess sometimes. This dove illustrates how God might swoop in despite the chaos and bring peace on the wings of conflict and transition- whether we like it or not. Plus juggling our priorities, hopes and needs for the season is always high-voltage activity, so I opted to mix in some flo-range and neo-green cards to the mix, which captured the zing-effect I was lookin for.
